Behere Pre-School in the Park is an innovative and exciting learning experience for young children! Our program was designed by former traditional educator Kelsey Lofton and provides a unique opportunity for children to explore their creativity and build essential skills.
In our 6 week spring session, each week will be themed around a different animal. During this time, we will have 60 minute classes that follow the same structure: circle time, story, movement, art, and sensory engagement. The circle time will introduce the animal of the week through storytelling and discussion while simultaneously introducing the concept which will then be explored further in upcoming activities.
The story allows us to really dive into what makes an animal unique and foster an understanding of their behavior and habitats. This is then followed by movement - in which children can take part in physical activities such as yoga or action songs - to encourage physical literacy as well as hand-eye coordination. After that comes art, where kids can use their imaginations to create artifacts related to the animal using various materials like paint, clay, paper mache or textiles - all while developing fine motor skills! To finish off each class we engage their senses in sensory playtime exploring textures associated with animals such as fur or feathers.
At Behere Pre-School in the Park your child will have an unforgettable experience learning and growing alongside other young minds under the guidance of Kelsey Lofton! Sign up today to give your child a head start into exploring their creativity while also building lifelong skills they'll need in order to succeed!
Wednesdays. 10 am to 11 am. Starts April 5th, goes through Wednesday May 17. (Closed April 12)
