Good Rising Bēhere REers,

We continue our journey today into the heart of the attention war, waging ourselves bravely into a PEACE that we each must win — for the benefit of our families and the generations to come… but first — A reflection on Being at Bēhere yesterday, if I may. ☝️🙏

Yesterday, I had the honor of being on site at our Bēhere Santa Ynez chapter, being present with the kids, and entertaining our youngest — Van. It gave me what I think everyone else gets out of the days also — a sense of belonging. I really needed to feel like I belonged somewhere yesterday, and I was able to really feel that while getting creative with all these beautiful and brilliant children, creating art for the makers market.

Brooke gave me the same incredible gift she gives the children — creative prompts, supplies, beauty and charm — and a beautiful space to be creative and flow with the kids. I got to just ‘BE’ with my family and community, responding to needs in the moment. It was a delight.

I look forward to doing more art with the kids - being with them helps to inspire creative ideas of things we can create together.

The Matrix System’s Design — and the unavoidable consequences of that design.

A Reflection and Inversion of the Attention War.

ATTENTION AT PEACE

Let’s get one thing clear:
There is nothing wrong with children’s attention.
If anything, their attention is trying to tell us exactly what’s wrong with the world we’ve built around them.

Capturing the cocreative power of human attention is honestly at center of how this old matrix functions. If the default is war.. you must now choose peace. Invert the old system and make their war into your peace.

For decades, we’ve demanded that kids focus on command — inside environments that even adults can’t stand to be in.
And when their attention wanders, we blame the child… not the design.

But attention isn’t a flaw.
It’s not a disorder.
It’s not a deficit.
It’s not even a currency, as even I myself have claimed in the past. I was wrong.

Attention is Creative Power.
Attention is intelligence.
Attention is instinct.
Attention is the first language of the soul.

And right now, that soul is overwhelmed.

The Institutions pull it one way.
The screen addictions, games and short-sighted bite-size content yank it another.
A thousand narratives shout for it at once.

Everyone wants a piece of your child’s awareness — but we have to work to direct their attention to the people who actually care about their potential and who they become.

So let me say this plainly:

A Child’s attention doesn’t need to be fixed on a state curriculum from the pre-AI era.

It needs to be freed.

When a child is grounded in rhythm, nature, belonging, and meaningful work and community — their attention doesn’t scatter. It expands. It sharpens. It comes alive.

This is the heart of the Bēhere Way:
not forcing children to pay attention,
but building a world worthy of their attention…
and teaching them that their attention is the beginning of creation itself.

Because the future won’t belong to the people who are best at consuming the world —
but to the ones who know how to shape it.
